[SMM data] according to SMM, as of Friday (April 3), the total inventory of zinc ingots in SIM7 was 292600 tons, down 11400 tons from Monday (March 30) and 14400 tons from last Friday (March 27).

SMM4, March 3: according to SMM, as of Friday (April 3), the total inventory of zinc ingots in SIM7 was 292600 tons, down 11400 tons from Monday (March 30) and 14400 tons from last Friday (March 27).

This week, the social inventory of Shanghai and Tianjin area decreased mainly. It is understood that the order of galvanized structure enterprises in Shanghai area is better this week, and the willingness to buy is strong. Tianjin area is mainly driven by large galvanizing factories to go to the warehouse, stack to join the amount of storage is less, the overall go to the warehouse is more significant. Most of the die-casting zinc alloy enterprises in Guangdong and Zhejiang are mainly die-casting zinc alloy enterprises, and the downstream orders are poor, which leads to the poor willingness of enterprises to prepare storage and the degree of storage removal is very little. Overall, inventories in Shanghai, Guangdong and Tianjin fell by 11500 tons, while inventories in seven places nationwide fell by 14400 tons.

Kazzinc’s Zinc and Lead Plants Operating at Reduced Capacity After Ust-Kamenogorsk Blast
Kazzinc said on Tuesday that its zinc and lead plants at the Ust-Kamenogorsk metallurgical complex in eastern Kazakhstan are operating at reduced capacity following last week’s explosion. The incident occurred at Kazzinc’s zinc plant, killing three people and injuring five others. Kazzinc, Kazakhstan’s largest producer of zinc, lead and precious metals and owned by Glencore, has not disclosed the extent of the impact on output. Clean-up operations and an investigation into the incident are still ongoing.
